Classroom Focused Digital Competences

Digtal Competences in the Classroom

Digital competence is one of the eight essential competencies. It refers to the confidence and critical usage of the full range of digital technologies for information, communication and basic problem-solving in all aspects of life. According to the Digital Agenda Scoreboard 2015, 40% of the EU population has an insufficient level of digital competence, with 22% not using the Internet.

Digital competence must be taught and learnt from an early age. Children need to be aware of the advantages and disadvantages of being online and using a range of technologies, and that’s why teachers need to know them first.

The classroom-focused approach provides teachers with a space to discuss what problems they have, how to teach some topics, what they have learned in this course together with your peer’s teachers, as well as exchange good practices on teaching digital competences

The seminar will cover the following topics:

  • Online collaboration tools
